It all began with the dream we all share of travel. The combination of artist, corporate professional, entrepreneur, leader, and visionary were the bundle of attributes that the mother and son team of Deborah de Maio and Rem Malloy combined to create Travel 4 Real, a Pacific Northwest-based travel company back in 1995.
Travel 4 Real now consists of many unique travel products such as:
Italy 4 Real, France 4 Real,
Greece 4 Real and Brazil 4 Real just to name a few.
Each product is an expert source for that destination. Travel 4 Real now offers complete travel services locally, nationally and internationally.
Both Deborah and Rem came from corporate backgrounds but throughout their lives, both together and separately, they were given the opportunity to study Europe inside and out. Having family throughout Italy, and traveling to and from the US during the earliest parts of their lives, gave them the on-the-ground knowledge most only read about in guide books.
With the love of travel and an extensive understanding of the cultural differences of the United States and Europe they began developing the formula in which the company was founded.
Deborah has traveled internationally from Europe to the U.S. for over 37 years, and is a accomplished artist and Rem is a travel photographer, travel writer, businessman and guide.
As a team they frequently speak and teach classes about international travel and “what to know and where to go” throughout the Northwest. Subjects range from how to plan your vacation, where to stay, how to pick the correct route, money matters and the latest industry trend.
